SELF TITLED- THE SMITHS Well for a band that’s known for being depressing and frontmanned by a whiny bitch this album is certainly depressing and whiny. That being said it puts it right up my alley. Idk I have a complex relationship with morissey but I really fucking dig the songwriting on this album. Overall worth the listen
SREMMLIFE2 - RAE SREMMURD this album exists in a weird place for me because it has higher highs and lower lows than the first sremmlife project. Really the meat of this album is in the middle with undeniable bangers like black Beatles and shake it fast but overall I just rarely finding myself listening to this project all the ways through
UTOPIA - TRAVIS SCOTT I feel like i say this every time i review a Travis Scott project but I Almost like this as much as I like rodeo. In the sense that rodeo is a top 5 trap album and utopia and astroworld are like top 15. Still I find myself impressed by Travis Scott’s songwriting ability and just overall consistency while maintaining innovation. It’s something I really like in an artist. Needless to say I really liked this album and think it has a lot to offer
JAR OF FLIES - ALICE IN CHAINS Layneeeeeee I’m so drunkkkkkkkkk this projects so good and essential acoustic moody grunge. I need to be in a very specific mood to listen to it but when I’m in that mood I absolutely love it. Highly recommend for a moody rainy day
MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS - THE SMASHING PUMPKINS every day I learn to set aside my hatred for Billy corgans voice a little bit more in order to appreciate the music a little bit more. That being said I don’t think the hate will ever leave. But if you can stand to listen to a man whine this album has a lot of good riffs and just overall good moments on it. It’s definitely bloated but it’s fine. I just prefer Siamese Dream I think
VIAGR ABOYS- VIAGRA BOYS To be honest I really wanted to like this album but nothing has drawn me back to it like cave world. Some good songs but I feel like this one just doesn’t rub me the same way it’s unfortunately a bit of a flop for me
I DONT WANT TO GROW UP- DESCENDANTS God damn the descendants were just punk rock hit writing machines there isn’t a damn bad song on this album they all pack so much pep and punch in a way I really enjoy. Highly highly recommended
SELF TITLED - THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS Speaking of songwriters I just love the Johns do really well on their first major record. Don’t let’s start, put your hand inside the puppet head, and she’s an angel are some of my favorite tmbg songs ever. Overall without this album the band wouldn’t have the experience that lead to writing Lincoln which is my fav tmbg album as well as one of my favorite albums of all time. Listening to this and understanding how it lead to that is really cool
TALEZ FROM THA STANK EP - 99ZEDD AND SALVIA GREY This ep hits like a fucking truck this is like peak SoundCloud trap to me. My only complaint is I wish it lasted longer than eleven minutes but I’ll always accept short and sweet over long and bitter. Overall very worth the ten minutes of your time
